Vimarce and Places of Interest

About the location.
Vimarce and the surrounding area is full of surprises….. a 10 minute walk will take you to a local pub run by an English couple, and a couple of minutes further and you will stumble across gorgeous French restaurants. Locally there is a beautiful lake in Sille-Le-Guillaume with a fantastic beach, and so much to do for all the family.  There is a magnificent Golf course at Sable and a world famous Zoo at La Fleche which is only a short drive away. Close by is the Medieval town of St Suzzane, which has coffee shops and a summer entertainment programe.  Only 26 miles from Vimarce  is the famous City of Le Mans offering not only the world famous race but a vibrant and exciting City. The local town of Evron about 10 mins drive has 3/4 supermarkets, swimming pool, Vets (if you are bringing your pet) and of course a local market, not to be missed. If you like fishing their is a lake full of them only 5 - 6 mins drive away. (permits can be bought for 5 euro's per day, weekly ones can also be obtained)

How to get here.

From March 2010 LD lines will be running a fast ferry from Portsmouth to Le Havre about 3 and a 1/2  hours crossing  then only 2 to 2 and a 1/2  hours drive to  Vimarce.  Or if you come via Calais or bolougne (shorter crossing) there is a 3 - 4 hour drive to Vimarce  Click here for Google maps
